Ciizzy “Paid” (Origins)
 

Ciizzy is an Ottawa based rapper who has been recognized by many for her melodies and hit singles. Ciizzy is originally from the South side of Ottawa, but recently graduated from ST. Matthews High School a local High School in the East end of the city. Apart from Ciizzy’s musical achievements, the artist  has also been recognized for her athletic talents as she made it on Overtime a notable sports highlights instagram page. The clip shows Ciizzy dribbling a basketball as she fades away for a shot and makes it against a defender. Ciizzy's success has also been displayed through her academics. Ciizzy graduated from St Matthews High School with an 80% plus average securing a spot on the honor roll. Most notably, Ciizzy has received scholarships to three programs as she currently attends University.

Though Ciizzy is not currently signed to any music labels or records, the artist continues to improve her music while being solely managed by herself. Ciizzy has continuously showcased her musical talent through performing at various events. Ciizzy has performed alongside many different accomplished artists and competed in music events in order to build exposure for herself. Ciizzy has opened up for several artists including “SenSey”, which she opened for in her first official show in 2020 where more than 500 people attended the sold-out event. In 2018, Cizzy competed in "Grand Prix Afro Caribbean de Talents' coming in second place. In the year 2020 Ciizzy came in first place at the OTTAWA STARS 2020.

Ciizzy’s latest track; “Paid”,  released on May 14th on all platforms. The track is a statement to how far she's progressed as an artist as she works to improve her sound with every track she releases. Ciizzy is a versatile artist and has been recognized as such as her sound changes with every track she puts out. Cizzy’s music has been recognized on her IG by the likes of Lil Berete, a notable Toronto rapper from Regent Park in the downtown Toronto area. Ciizzy’s name really started to buzz with her most viewed snippet on IG being her first freestyle which was posted in 2019 as it recived 5k in total views. Another notable snippet to be posted to Ciizzy's instagram was the “2 in 1” track she released .

“If I’m being honest, I’ve never really had individuals in my life that I can say I’ve looked up to. I’ve only ever had failures, addiction, and poverty that’s been a motivating factor in my life. Not wanting to go down a similar path settled a strong sense of ambition within me that made me more hungry in life. Life is what you make it. Dream Big”.
